The objectives of LGIG Committee are to encourage discussion on local government information governance, information management and records management related topics, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of information governance and management and records management by actual and/or potential Subscribing Agencies, and to encourage adoption of good practices by actual and/or potential Subscribing Agencies by:
a) Endorsement and champion the implementation of a whole of Local Government IM Strategic Plan and Policy.
b) Approval of all IG related whole of local government submissions
c) Ensure strategic alignment of IG and ICT investment decisions within MAV.
d) Prioritise and approve IG programs and projects
e) Implement effective processes for the commissioning, management and governance of IM programs and projects
f) Maintain effective IG Resource Management
g) Implement effective IM risk management and performance improvement strategies
